EL MACERO, CALIF. – The University of Denver men's golf team came out strong on Wednesday, going 6-under to finish tied for second through 18 holes at the El Macero Classic.
Esteban Missura powered the Pioneer attack on the day, tying for third at 4-under.

Significant Stats:
- Loyola Marymount leads the field at 8-under, two strokes ahead of DU and Long Beach State.
- On the individual leader board, Long Beach State's Tyler Schafer and LMU's Cameron Meeks sit atop the individual leader board at 5-under, one shot ahead of Missura.
- The Pioneers shot a 9-under on the day on the par 5s.

Jun Ho Won continued his solid run of play, firing a 3-under 69 to close out the afternoon.

John Sand tied for 25th at even par (72) through one round of play.

Carson Griggs opened his tournament tied for 30th at 1-over.

Jackson Solem wrapped up the day tied for 77th.

Alex Gibalevich, competing as an individual, tied for 84th.
