NEWTON, Kan.  – The University of Denver men's golf team made a big move on Monday at the Summit League Championship, jumping into the lead after a low round on day two. The Pioneers shot a 7-under 281 for a second straight day to improve to 14-under through two rounds.

Tournament & Course Info:
- Sand Creek Station Golf Course
- Par 72
- 7,086 yards
- 10 teams

Significant Stats:
- The Pioneers moved past North Dakota State to take the team lead at 14-under, three strokes ahead of the Bison.
- Denver's 281 for the round was its third lowest total of the year.
- On the individual leader board, the Bison's Nate Deziel continued his strong run, building his lead to six strokes at 11-under.   

Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Jackson Solem rose up two spots on the leader board on Tuesday, shooting a 2-under 70 for the round.
- Carson Griggs closed out the day in a tie for third at 4-under through 36 holes.  
- John Sand moved up seven spots after 1-under 71 to finish tied for sixth with fellow teammate Jun Ho Won.  
- Esteban Missura wrapped up his round tied for 16th at 1-over.  
 
Up Next:
Final round of the championship is set for Tuesday.
