2021 REWIND:
Denver got back to the NCAA Second Round and finished the 2021 campaign 10-4-5 following an 4-1-1 Summit League campaign. Prior to the second-round extra time loss at eventual national champion Clemson, Denver was unbeaten in 10 of its previous 11 matches. The Pioneers finished ninth in the country in goals against average (0.736).

QUICK HITS:
·        Denver is 1-4 all-time against Gonzaga, but won the only meeting in the Mile High City between the two programs, a 2-1 win, courtesy of a 53rd minute Karsten Hanlin penalty.
·        The Pioneers are 4-2-1 in season-openers during Jamie Franks tenure as head coach, including a perfect 4-0-0 in curtain raisers at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
·        Denver has student-athletes from 12 different states and four other countries. The 12 states represented is Denver's most on a single roster in its Division I history.
·        The Crimson and Gold will play eight non-conference opponents, and nine opponents overall, that finished the last season in the RPI Top-100.

2022 Schedule: The 2022 schedule features six home games, including a three-game homestand in the middle of September against Portland (Sept. 16), [5] Oregon State (Sept. 20) and Oral Roberts (Sept. 24). Denver will also make trips to national ranked foes [RV] Grand Canyon (Aug. 28), [20] Maryland (Sept. 2), [2] Georgetown (Sept. 5) and [7] Pittsburgh (Oct. 10).
Up Next: The Pioneers will begin a five-match road swing on Sunday when Denver heads to Grand Canyon for a rematch of the 2021 NCAA Tournament First Round match in Phoenix last November. Denver won the postseason meeting 1-0 courtesy of Kengo Ohira's 24th minute winner.
