- This is the fourth meeting in the all-time series against Portland.
- The Pilots hold a 2-1 lead in the series.
- DU last played Portland in 2005, a 3-0 sweep in Hamilton Gymnasium.
- This is the second meeting against Butler.
- The Crimson and Gold have won the only matchup in the series, 3-1 in Hamilton back on Sept. 16, 2000.
- This is the second meeting between Denver and Hofstra.
- The Pioneers have won the only meeting in the series, a five-set victory back on Sept. 18, 1997 on a neutral court.
