SPARKS, Md. – Season two of Athletes Unlimited professional women's lacrosse for Denver Pioneers alum and volunteer assistant Molly Little and assistant coach Brittany Read wraps up with the fourth and final week of games, starting on Thursday.
 
After three weeks of competition, Read, a goalkeeper, ranks 13th on the AU leaderboard with 922 points, while the defender Little has 471 points and ranks 50th on the table.
 
Read was on Team Apuzzo/Orange last week and helped the squad to a 2-1 record. She made four saves on Thursday in an 11-8 win over Team Colson/Blue before making eight stops on Saturday in a 9-8 loss to Team Johansen/Purple.
 
In the Sunday finale, Read faced off against Little and Team Moreno/Gold and backstopped Apuzzo to a 10-9 comeback victory. Read stopped 10 shots as Apuzzo rallied with four goals in the fourth quarter to erase a 9-6 deficit entering the final frame. Little had an assist for Team Moreno.
 
Team Moreno went winless in Week 3, also falling 11-8 to Team Johansen/Purple on Thursday before losing 13-12 in overtime to Team Colson/Blue on Saturday after Charlotte North tallied the OT-winner at 1:28 of the extra frame.
 
Read will once again be on Team Apuzzo/Orange for the final week after being drafted by captain Sam Apuzzo, while Little will suit up in Purple after being chose captain Kady Glynn. The two Pioneers will face off against one another for the final time on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. MT (ESPNU).
