DENVER – The 2022 Denver Hockey Student-Season Ticket Campout is this Friday, Sept. 30 on the north lawn of the Ritchie Center.
A limited number of student tickets for the reigning national champions' 2022-23 campaign become available on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m., and students must be in line to receive a golden ticket—their access to every home game this season.
Students can start getting their place in line and pitching their tents on Friday, Sept. 30 at 12 noon on the northside of the Ritchie Center and are encouraged to bring sleeping bags, blankets, camping chairs and other essentials for their campout.
The University of Denver Athletics department and DU Programming Board has also organized several events throughout the afternoon and evening to help students pass the time, including lawn games and free food from Canes and Snarfs (while supplies last). There will also be several prizes raffled throughout the night courtesy of Safeway, Pepsi and Canvas Credit Union.
Students will also get their first chance to look at this year's DU hockey team with a free intrasquad scrimmage on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Magness Arena. Students will have the opportunity to take a photo with the 2022 National Championship trophy and are encouraged to post to social media with the hashtag #GoPios for a chance to win a DU Fan Pack. The team wraps up training camp with an exhibition on Saturday against UNLV at 6 p.m. MT (free for students with ID | General public tickets $12).
The Friday night campout also features an open skate on Magness Arena, an outside movie on the lawn (Jurassic World Dominion) and S'mores.

4:15 p.m. – Opening Act - Bleak Mystique concert (Parking Lot 311 – North parking lot of Ritchie Center)
5:00 p.m. – Peach Tree Rascals concert (Parking Lot 311 – North parking lot of Ritchie Center)
6:00 p.m. – Cornhole Tournament, Giant Pong, Giant Jenga and more (Parking Lot 314)
