Denver’s Men and Women Head to Air Force Friday Night

The two Pioneer swimming and diving programs will join back up for trip down I-25

DENVER – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs will make the trip down I-25 this weekend for dual match-ups with the Air Force Academy on Friday at 5 p.m. MT at the Cadet Natatorium.

Last Time Out:
The two Denver programs split up last weekend. Denver's men went west to Riverside, California, and brought home a triple dual sweep with weekend wins over Grand Canyon, Seattle and Cal Baptist. FULL RECAP. On the women's side, the Pioneers finished third in all three of their sessions in a tough field at the Rice Fall Splash Invitational. Denver did pick up five event wins on the weekend as they look to improve on that with their first to the Springs this weekend. SESSION 3 RECAP
 
Summit League Weekly Award:
Alex Lynch was named the Summit League Men's Peak Swimmer of the Week this week for his performances at the triple dual in California. Lynch was part of relay wins in the 200 medley and 400 medley relays, while winning the individual title in the 200 breast and finishing second in the 100 breast.
 
Summit League Preseason Awards:
Denver's men's and women's programs were both picked preseason favorites to win the 2024 Summit League Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The women have won each of the previous 10, while the Denver men have won nine in 10 tries. Denver had four student-athletes named to the 2024 Watch List in Marco NosackZyad MorsyJessica Maeda and Olivia Gordon.
