[-/RV] Denver Hosts St. Thomas Saturday Night

The Pioneers have won each of their last three games 1-0

DENVER – The [-/RV] University of Denver men's soccer team will wrap-up a quick two-match week at home when the Pioneers welcome St. Thomas to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Saturday night's kickoff on the Summit League Network is set for 7 p.m. MT.

Last Time Out:
Holger Olsson knocked home a rebound in the final minutes of the first half and Isaac Nehme kept his eighth cleansheet of the season to take the Pioneers past Omaha on Wednesday night at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.

The Series:
Denver is 2-0-1 all-time against St. Thoms, with the only point-splitter taking place in St. Paul last October. Earlier this season (Sept. 23), Denver won at St. Thomas by a score of 2-0. Sam Bassett netted a brace in the victory.

O'Toole's Experience:
Graduate student Aidan O'Toole played in his 81st career match on Wednesday night, joining Destan Norman for the fifth-most appearances in Denver's Division I history. Four former Pioneers have played in 83 career games, Denver's Division I record.

The Franks Foundation:
Jack and Sheila Weinberg Head Men's Soccer Coach Jamie Franks is 105-35-27 as a head coach at Denver, 140-52-35 in his 12 years overall with the Pioneers and 239-79-52 in his time as a player and a coach in college soccer. Franks became the second coach in program history to reach 100 career wins on Friday night, doing so in 158 career matches.

Denver at Home:
Since the University of Denver Soccer Stadium opened in 2009, the Pioneers have done an impressive job at protecting their home field. Denver is 95-21-18 since the stadium opened, 85-10-12 since Franks joined the staff in 2012 and 60-8-9 since he took over as head coach in 2015.

Top-10 Program in Franks' Tenure:
Since Franks took over at the start of the 2015 season, the Pioneers have 105 wins, sitting 10th in the country in that category heading into this weekend's matches. Of the 12 teams in the country that started the year with at least 95 wins, Denver has the sixth-fewest losses at 34.

Up Next:
Denver will return to the road next weekend to take on nationally ranked Oral Roberts. Kickoff on October 28 is set for 7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT.
