DENVER – University of Denver women's soccer player and freshman
Liv Moritz is ranked No. 54 in the 2023 Top Drawer Soccer Women's Postseason Top 100 Freshmen rankings, released on Friday.
Moritz netted seven goals and 18 points – second-best on the team – while making the starting XI in every match for Denver in 223. The Vail, Colorado, native was the only Pioneer to score multiple game winners this season and had at least one shot in all but five matches including a season-high eight at Oregon on September 10.
The Denver midfielder was named the Summit League Newcomer of the Year and earned United Soccer Coaches All-West Region third-team honors.
Moritz is the first DU player to earn a place on the TDS Postseason Freshman rankings since
Sami Feller in 2018 (No. 33). The only other Pioneer to earn a place in the final freshman rankings was Meg Halvorson (No. 99 in 2017)
