DU Women’s Basketball Adds Emari Doby to 2023-24 Roster

The combo guard signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Pioneers next season

DENVER  – The University of Denver women's basketball program has signed combo guard Emari Doby (Topeka, Kansas) to a National Letter of Intent to join the Pioneers beginning in the 2023-24 season, head coach Doshia Woods announced on Tuesday.

Doby finished her senior year as the leading scorer, rebounder and the team's leader in steals in 2022-23, finishing her final campaign at Shawnee Heights High School with 13 points-per game, nine rebounds per game and two steals per game. The guard was a two-time 5A All-Conference First Team selection and was an All-Kansas Honorable Mention selection, finishing in the top-10 in the state in points per game.

"We are very excited to add Emari to our Pioneer family," Woods said. "Emari is a strong combo guard that can make a difference on both sides of the floor for us. We are looking forward to Emari being a part of program."

Away from the court, Doby was a member of her school's National Honor Society.

Doby joins Reagan Pahl, who signed her National Letter of Intent in the early period on November 16 and Alaisha Brown who signed last week as freshmen on the 2023-24 roster.
