Denver Women’s Basketball Adds Transfer Laila McLeod to 2023-24 Roster

The Pioneers add Grand Canyon forward Laila McLeod ahead of summer workouts

DENVER  – The University of Denver women's basketball program has signed Grand Canyon forward Laila McLeod, head coach Doshia Woods announced on Tuesday. McLeod will have three years of eligibility remaining when she joins the Pioneers for the 2023-24 season.

Coming out of high school, McLeod was the 105th ranked player in the country, and the 22nd best small forward according to the Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.

"We are excited to add Laila to our program," Woods said. "She brings so much versatility on and off the court. A 6'0" small forward that can score in multiple ways, her skill set will help us continue to elevate our program."
