DENVER – The University of Denver volleyball program has set seven of its non-conference contests in the 2023 campaign, head coach Megan Pendergast announced on Monday.
Denver will head to UC Santa Barbara to open its first season under Pendergast, where the Pioneers will take on North Florida (Aug. 25), tournament hosts UCSB (Aug. 26) and New Mexico State (Aug. 27).
Following a weekend off, the Pioneers will return to the west coast for UC San Diego's pre-conference tournament. Denver will open the weekend with Navy (Sept. 8) and San Diego State (Sept. 8) on the Friday before taking on the tournament hosts on Saturday (Sept. 9).
Denver rounds out its non-conference slate with a trip to Colorado on September 17. The Pioneers are expected to announce a non-conference home game in the coming weeks.
The Summit League announced its revised 2023 schedule earlier Monday after the departure of Western Illinois from the league membership.
