DENVER – The [19/17] University of Denver men's soccer team will open the 2023 Summit League calendar on Saturday when the Pioneers travel to St. Thomas. Kickoff on the Summit League Network is set for 12 p.m. CT/11 a.m. MT. The match will be broadcast live on The Summit League Network.

Last Time Out:
Bryce Willougby tied things up in the first half and Oje Ofunrein scored his nation-leading eighth goal of the season in the 89th minute to earn Denver a 2-2 tie at Seattle on Monday night to round out Denver's Pacific Northwest part of this four-game road swing.
The Series:
Denver is 1-0-1 against St. Thomas in its history, winning 3-1 in the series opener in 2021 before a 0-0 draw in St. Paul last October. The Pioneers and Tommies will play twice in the 2023 regular season, as St. Thomas will visit the mile High City on October 21 (7 p.m. MT).
The Franks Foundation:
Jack and Sheila Weinberg Head Men's Soccer Coach Jamie Franks is 101-34-26 as a head coach at Denver, 136-51-34 in his 12 years overall with the Pioneers and 235-78-51 in his time as a player and a coach in college soccer. Franks became the second coach in program history to reach 100 career wins on Friday night, doing so in 158 career matches.

Since Franks took over at the start of the 2015 season, the Pioneers have 101 wins, sitting 10th in the country in that category heading into this weekend's matches. Of the 12 teams in the country that started the year with at least 95 wins, Denver has the sixth-fewest losses at 34. Monday marks a battle between the 9th (Seattle) and 10th (Denver) best teams in the country in total wins since the start of the 2015 season.
