DENVER – The [19/17] University of Denver men's soccer team will wrap-up a four-game road swing on Monday night with a trip to [RV/18] Pittsburgh. The game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET/5 p.m. MT.
Last Time Out:
A second brace in three matches from Sam Bassett gave Denver a perfect start to Summit League play at St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon. Dylan Akau and Oje Ofunrein picked up assists in the league opener.
The Series:
Denver is 0-1-1 in its previous two trips to Pitt. The two previous meetings have had goals in them. Pitt scored in the 108th minute for an extra-time victory in 2019 before saving a point with a late penalty decision last October. The Pioneers outshot Pitt 11-8 last year, including 7-1 in the opening 45 minutes. Bassett and Ben Smith scored the Denver goals a year ago.

Jack and Sheila Weinberg Head Men's Soccer Coach Jamie Franks is 102-34-26 as a head coach at Denver, 137-51-34 in his 12 years overall with the Pioneers and 236-78-51 in his time as a player and a coach in college soccer. Franks became the second coach in program history to reach 100 career wins on Friday night, doing so in 158 career matches.

Since Franks took over at the start of the 2015 season, the Pioneers have 102 wins, sitting 10th in the country in that category heading into this weekend's matches. Of the 12 teams in the country that started the year with at least 95 wins, Denver has the sixth-fewest losses at 34.

Denver will return to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium for Alumni Weekend next weekend when the Pioneers welcome Oral Roberts to the Mile High City. Kickoff on Saturday night is set for 7 p.m. MT, and will be broadcast live on the Summit League Network.
