Four Denver First Years Named to ILWomen's Power 100 Rankings

DENVER - The University of Denver women's lacrosse team had four freshmen named to the ILWomen' 2024 "Power 100 Incoming Freshmen Rankings", ILWomen announced on Wednesday. 

The top 50 were ranked, and the remaining 51-100 were unranked. The 51-100 group included Eva Thomsen-Marr (Portland, Oregon), Megan Morneau (East Long Meadow, Mass.), Caroline Bowers (Baltimore, Md.), and Lexi Gwaku (Haddonfield, New Jersey). 

A look at Denver's 2024 Power 100 Selections:
  • Eva Thomsen-Marr was a First-Team All Oregon seclection in 2023 with 101 goals, 38 assists, 72 caused turnovers and 116 draw controls.
  • Megan Morneau was a USA Lacrosse All-American and PVIAC All-League Selection and led her high school team with 39 assists, 21 ground balls, 47 free position goals and 115 draw controls.
  • Caroline Bowers was a four-year starter on her high school team and led her club team to a top-5 national ranking.
  • Lexi Gwaku won the 2023  Erin Cacciaboudo Award for New Jersey as the Lacrosse Goalie of the Year and was named a US All-American as well as SJILL Goalkeeper of the Year.
