Box Score LOS ANGELES – The University of Denver men's tennis team finished the LMU Invite with six total wins on Sunday.
The Pioneers began the day with a strong performance against Utah in singles, capturing five wins in six matches. Leading the way was senior
Relja Eskic with his best collegiate performance, dropping just a single game in his match.
DU's four other singles victories also came in straight sets and with three more sets of 6-2 or better. Junior
Raffaello Papajcik finished a perfect three-for-three in singles on the weekend while freshmen
Samuel Rovai and
Theo Coats each earned his second win of the tournament. Graduate student
Connor Robb-Wilcox won his first singles match of the weekend.
The tournament ended with DU taking on host LMU in doubles and collecting a win from the team of Rovai and junior
Ryom Mishiro.
The 2024 fall season is now concluded for eight of the 10 Pioneers on this year's roster. Senior
Daniel Sancho Arbizu and Papajcik will wrap up their fall seasons at the 2024 NCAA Singles Championships, beginning on November 19. Draws are expected to announced on Saturday, November 16.
