Denver Women’s Soccer Signs Seven for 2025 Season

DU adds seven newcomers beginning with 2025-26 academic year

DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer team will welcome eight new student-athletes for the 2025-26 academic year, head coach Julianne Sitch announced on Tuesday.

Avery Baker, Lucy Garnsey, Kacey Harvey, Olivia Kroska, Lilly Lund, Annie Philbin and Parker Wilkerson have all signed to join the Denver program beginning with the 2025 soccer season.

Avery Baker is a winger from Carlsbad, California. She was a four-year starter on her high school teams, most recently tying for the league lead in points in 2023-24 while playing at La Costa Canyon High School. As a freshman at San Dieguito Academy, she led the team in assists and finished second in total goals and points. Additionally, she helped lead her club team, City SC San Diego, to at least the round of 16 in the GA Champions playoffs every year since 2020 and a third-place finish at the 2024 GA Champions Cup.

Lucy Garnsey is a goalkeeper from Denver and helped lead Colorado Academy to the 3A state title in 2024 after making 17 saves in the championship match. Twice, she earned first-team all-state honors, most recently in 2024 after a season that saw her score a goal and add an assist as a keeper in the state quarterfinals. As a member of the Colorado Rapids 06/07G ECNL squad, she advanced to the ECNL national quarterfinals or better in three consecutive seasons (2021-23). She is also on the Colorado Storm roster for 2024 alongside four current Pioneers' players.

Kacey Harvey is a winger from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was a member of the ThunderRidge High School team that won the 5A state title in 2023 and followed it up with a six-goal season as a junior in 2023-24. She also runs track at ThunderRidge. With her 06/07 Real Colorado club team, she won the 2023 ECNL North American Cup championship.

Olivia Kroska is a midfielder from Ankeny, Iowa, and a three-time varsity letter winner at Ankeny Centennial High School. After missing her junior year with an injury, she has been named team captain for 2024 and earned all-conference recognition in 2022 and 2023. Also a team captain in each of the last three seasons with Sporting Iowa, she garnered second-team ECNL Midwest all-conference honors in 2023. Like Harvey, she also runs track at her high school.

Lilly Lund is a midfielder/forward from Louisville, Kentucky. She has been named to the all-district team in each of her four years at Sacred Heart Academy and helped lead the team to the Iowa state title in 2024 as team captain. Also in 2024, she earned ECNL Ohio Valley first-team all-conference honors as a member of Racing Louisville and has been on the USL-W league roster as well.

Annie Philbin is a defender from Northbrook, Illinois. Twice, she earned all-conference honors and won the regional title at Glenbook North High School while also collecting defensive MVP honors. Her club team, Eclipse Select, has more shutouts (13) than goals conceded (12) in 2024. A three-time team captain, she earned ECNL Midwest second-team all-conference honors.

Parker Wilkerson is also a defender from Carroll, Texas. She won the 2022 6A Texas state championship with Southlake Carroll High School and has earned first-team all-district honors while also being named to the Dallas/Fort Worth Best XI. Twice, she helped win the ECNL national title with Solar Soccer Club and is ranked as the No. 13 player in the state of Texas by Top Drawer Soccer.
