DU Women’s Tennis’ Burguete Beltran/Lambert Set for ITA Conference Masters

Denver doubles team seeking berth to 2024 NCAA Doubles Championship
DENVER – University of Denver women's tennis players Andrea Burguete Beltran and Marley Lambert are headed to the 2024 ITA Conference Masters Championships in Rome, Georgia, on November 7-10.
Burguete Beltran/Lambert are the Summit League's women's doubles selection for 2024 and will compete for an automatic berth to the NCAA National Championships. Three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championships: the two finalists and the third-place team at this weekend's tournament.
This is the first year that the ITA Conference Masters Championships will be held. The tournament features men's and women's draws of 32 singles players and 32 doubles teams as designated by each of the NCAA Division I automatic-qualifier conferences. Each eligible conference selects one singles player and one doubles team of each gender to participate in the ITA event.
First up for the team from Denver, which received a [5-8] seed, is a round of 32 match against Nikitash/Dimova from Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, November 7. The match is scheduled for a 5 p.m. ET/3 p.m. MT start.

Burguete Beltran and Lambert are coming off a doubles final appearance at the 2024 ITA Mountain Regional Championship in October, coming up one win shy of a trip to the NCAA championships. Burguete Beltran also appeared in the singles final at ITA Regionals, automatically earning her a spot at the 2024 NCAA Singles Championship.
Four more Pioneers are also in action this weekend when Denver hosts its annual fall tournament, the Colorado Cup, on November 8-10 at Denver Tennis Park.
