DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team is ranked No. 7 in the Week 6 Road to Nationals rankings, which were released on Monday.
Denver matched the fifth-highest score in program history (197.775) on Sunday in what was the third-highest score in the nation last week.
With Sunday's meet, DU increased its season average by nearly a tenth to 197.308. This is only the fourth regular-season week that Denver has held season average at or above the 197.3+ mark in program history, behind only Weeks 9-11 of the 2023 season.
This is the final week that rankings are determined by season average. Beginning with the Week 7 rankings that will be released on February 19, national rankings will be determined by National Qualifying Score (NQS).

On floor, the team also improved by two slots and continued its rise in the rankings each week since Week 3.

For the second week in a row – and the second time in her career – Hutchinson holds national rankings in the all-around and on all four events at the same time. After tying the Denver all-time all-around record score (39.825), she moved into the top five in the country in the all-around for the first time and became the seventh Denver gymnast to ever achieve the milestone.
During Sunday's meet, Hutchinson scored the second perfect 10.0 of her career on floor, which also moved her into the top five in the country in a tie for No. 4 this week – matching her finish at the 2023 NCAA National Championships on the event.
Fellow senior Mundell scored her fifth 9.9+ on bars through six meets in DU's meet against Iowa State and SE Missouri State, helping her maintain a top-15 ranking on the event. She is also inside the top 25 in the all-around for the second week in a row.
No. 7 Denver begins a two-meet road trip with a Big 12 Conference tri-meet at West Virginia with No. 24 Iowa State on Sunday, February 18, at 2 p.m. ET/12 p.m. MT.
