DENVER - Five University of Denver women's lacrosse players were named IL Women Midseason All-Americans, the publication announced on Thursday.

Sam Thacker was named to the first team, graduate student defenders
Anna Palmisano and
Trinity McPherson and attackers
Olivia Penoyer and
Julia Gilbert were listed as Honorable Mention.
Overall, 90 players were honored by the publication. Denver is the only team among the Big East Conference to have players named to the list.
Thacker is second on the Pioneers with 17 caused turnovers and 19 ground balls in nine contests, while Palmisano ranks 11th in the nation and leads the Denver squad with 22, averaging 2.22 per contest. McPherson leads the Pioneers with 21 ground balls and comes in second with 24 wins in the draw circle.
Penoyer and Gilbert lead the Pioneers offensive effort coming in at one and two in total points. The graduate transfer from Yale leads the team with 34 points and 19 assists and Gilbert owns 25 goals and 29 points on the season.
