DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team (23-1, 5-0 Summit) is ranked No. 44 in the final ITA Computerized Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, released on Wednesday.
Denver has now finished the year ranked in the final ITA team rankings in five consecutive seasons and improved on its final 2023 ranking by 15 spots. DU's No. 44 final ranking for 2024 is the second-highest season-ending ranking in program history, behind only 2010's No. 39 ranking.
Final singles and doubles rankings will be announced on May 29.
During the season, Denver defeated four teams that also appear in the final ITA rankings: No. 50 Oregon, No. 51 Boise State, No. 65 Utah State and No. 72 New Mexico.
DU went undefeated through the Summit League tournament to become the first team to enter the NCAA tournament unbeaten since eventual NCAA champion Virginia in 2013. In 2024, Denver won its sixth Summit League title and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 10
th time in program history, falling to now-No. 23 Michigan State in the first round, 4-0.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), 125 singles players and 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level.
