COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Denver men's tennis team continued play at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains, hosted by the Air Force Academy, with two more rounds of doubles and one round of singles.
 
Freshman Samuel Rovai played a tight match in his semifinal of the Raptor (B) Draw but ultimately dropped the decision to BYU'S Tygen Goldammer. Rovai will play in the draw's third-place match on Sunday.
 
Also in the Raptor Draw, freshman Mark Neyelov was set for a consolation match but was handed a walkover from his opponent – a result that would be repeated in his doubles draw with partner Rikuto Yamaguchi.
 
Play concludes at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains on Sunday with the singles and doubles finals. Play is set to begin at 9 a.m. MT.
 
Elsewhere in Denver men's tennis, senior Daniel Sancho Arbizu defeated a top-ranked player for the third match in a row at the ITA All-American Championships with a victory over No. 17-ranked JC Roddick from Texas A&M. The Spaniard's run at the tournament came to end with a loss in the consolation quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.
