LAS VEGAS – The University of Denver men's tennis team will account for nearly half of the singles quarterfinal field at the 2025 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, hosted by UNLV, following the fourth day of play on Saturday.

Raffaello Papajcik and sophomores
Theo Coats and
Samuel Rovai all booked their places in the singles quarterfinals, giving DU three of the eight spots.
For the second consecutive day, Coats and Rovai won their singles matches in straight sets and within one game of each other's final scores. Both claimed the opening set with a late break for 7-5 win before rolling through the second set with No. 10-seeded Rovai capturing a bagel and Coats a dominant 6-1 result.
No. 3-seeded Papajcik moved into the ITA Mountain Regional quarterfinals for the second year in a row in a three-set battle. He traded 6-2 sets with the No. 9 seed Dario Ciobotary from New Mexico before taking the decider, 6-4.
The 2025 ITA Mountain Regional Championships continues on Sunday with singles quarterfinals and semifinals, and the doubles semifinals, beginning at 10 a.m. PT/11 a.m. MT.
