DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team will host its annual Homecoming Open Practice – with a Halloween twist – on Friday, October 31, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the team's training facility at the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports & Wellness.
Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served. Fans are invited to wear their Halloween costumes – masks are not permitted – to take part in a costume contest as well.
The event provides fans a first look at the 2025-26 squad, which features seven newcomers in freshmen
Megan Aamold,
Shyla Bhatia,
Sevana Kasparian,
Kaitlynd Kastl,
Terra Rutter and
Abby Steeley, and sophomore transfer
Addie Hewitt.
DU also welcomes three new assistant coaches to the staff this year in
John Carney,
Megan Haught and
Mary Rice.
Denver is in the middle of its preseason ahead of the 2026 season, which begins January 11 against Stanford. DU will host five meets in Magness Arena from January through March.
