DENVER - University of Denver senior attacker
Lauren Black was named to the preseason watch list for the 2025 Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the top player in men's and women's lacrosse.
In her junior campaign, Black ranked third on the Pioneers squad with 59 points in 38 goals and 21 assists. Black was an All- Big East first team selection a year ago and led the conference with four game-winning goals and recorded goals against seven nationally ranked opponents this season.  The British Columbia native won a silver medal with Team Canada at the World Lacrosse 2024 World Lacrosse U20 Championship this summer.
The senior attacker was also named a USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American and All-Big East selection.
Denver opens the season on the road against Louisville on February 7 at 10 a.m. MT in Kentucky.Â
