Captain Berg Sends San Diego to 2025 NLL Playoffs with GWG

In a regular season finale that featured five #ProPios, 2015 NCAA Tournament MOP Wes Berg had a six-point night in San Diego’s 11-10 win over Albany

DENVER – Nearly 10 years after guiding the University of Denver men's lacrosse program to the 2015 National Championship, former NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player Wes Berg put his pro team on his back last weekend, putting up six points on four goals and two assists in a Win and In game, including the game-winner late in the fourth to punch the San Diego Seals' ticket into the NLL Playoffs.

Teammate and four-time First Team All-American Trevor Baptiste went 14-for-24 with six loose balls and a goal for the Seals in the playoff clinching win, while Danny Logan picked up four loose balls and had two caused turnovers for San Diego.

On the other side of the ball in the Friday night showdown, Ethan Walker had three goals and three assist to match Berg's six-point night. Albany teammate Alex Simmons had a hat trick himself to go with two assists, including scoring the game-tying goal to make it 10-10 with 4:53 to play in regulation.

In two games for Toronto this weekend, Josh Dawick combined for four goals and five assists for a nine-point weekend. Dawick became the ninth player in Toronto Rock history to reach 40 goals in a season.
