DENVER – Former University of Denver men's lacrosse All-American
Eric Law announced his retirement from professional lacrosse on Tuesday, following 13 seasons in three different professional leagues.
Law played for the Pioneers from 2011 to 2013, transferring to the Mile High City from Salisbury after his freshman season. The Denver native produced 152 career points, a total that still ranks 10
th in the program's Division I history. Law's 66 career assists also still ranks 10
th.
In the single season record book, Law's 2013 campaign where his 78 points led Denver to Championship Weekend for the second time still ranks second in program history. Law's 35 assists that season still tie for third in program history.
Law was drafted 29
th overall in Major League Lacrosse by the Denver Outlaws in 2013. In his 13 field seasons of professional lacrosse, Law produced 297 goals. After playing in two Championship Weekends in college and graduating just two years before Denver's first Championship run, Law lifted three trophies in five years for the Outlaws.
The savvy X attackman joined Atlas in 2019 before being signed by the PLL's Denver Outlaws in the middle of the 2024 campaign.
In the community, Law has invested a lot of his time into Denver City Lax to provide community resources and expand the game across the city.
The future Pro Lacrosse Hall of Famer has already begun his broadcasting career, having called Pioneers games for Altitude the last several years. Law also has broken into several National Lacrosse League broadcasts.
