BRISTOL, Conn. – University of Denver senior midfielder Mic Kelly was taken 12th overall by the Boston Cannons (Round 2, Pick 4) in the 2025 Premiere Lacrosse League (PLL) Draft on Tuesday.
 
The Towson, Maryland, native, played and started in all 14 games in the Pioneers offensive midfield this season, scoring 27 goals and adding eight assists for 35 points. Kelly scored five times on the man-up, and had a game-winner. The Denver senior who ranked among the top-5 midfield goal scorers in the country all season netted hat tricks in four games, including scoring five at Yale on March 8. Kelly scored multiple goals in six of seven games in the Pioneers stretch between February 28 and April 5.
 
In his career, Kelly played in 60 games, starting 30 in Denver's offensive midfield. Kelly tallied 94 points from the midfield, scoring 64 goals and adding 30 helpers.
 
Kelly became the 10^th-highest Pioneer drafted in an outdoor professional draft, and the highest since TD Ierlan (4^th overall) and Danny Logan (11^th overall) were picked in the 2021 draft.
 
The PLL will return to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium for the fourth-consecutive season when the pros make their way to the Mile High City August 1-2. BUY TICKETS HERE
