DENVER – The University of Denver men's basketball program has added rising senior forward Logan Kinsey to the 2025-26 roster, newly hired head coach Tim Bergstraser announced on Thursday.
"Logan is a player who commits to his teammates with relentless effort and will always leave it all out on the floor," Bergstraser said. "He's a true winner and competitor. His scoring ability at all three levels makes him a great offensive threat to go with his size and athleticism. I'm very fortunate to have coached Logan for the last three years and I'm looking forward to his final season as a Pioneer."
In three seasons at MSUM under Bergstraser's leadership, Kinsey made 97 appearances and 66 starts, including playing and starting in all 34 games in the Dragons' run to the NCAA Round of 16 in March. Kinsey's junior season saw the Blaine, Minnesota, native average 14.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. The 6-6 forward finished in double figures in 27 of the 34 games, including nine 20+ point contests en-route to earning All-NSIC First Team honors. Kinsey scored a career-high 27 points in games against Michigan Tech (nine rebounds) and Minot State last season.
He will enter the 2025-26 season with 987 career points, 458 rebounds and 99 assists. Kinsey developed his outside shot in his junior year, draining 43 attempts from behind the arc after just 28 in his first two collegiate seasons combined.
Kinsey is the third new Pioneer to join Bergstraser from MSUM, joining Shaun Wysocki and Carson Johnson, who were announced earlier this week.
