DENVER – Former University of Denver men's swimmer Dylan Wright finished 21^st in a 33-swimmer field in the 200 back on Wednesday at the 2025 World University Games in Berlin, Germany.
 
Wright reached the final wall in 2:02.93, 1.76 seconds off the qualifying time for Wednesday's semifinals. The South African took 24^th in the 200 fly earlier in the meet.
 
The Cape Town, South Africa, native, ranked 99^th in the country in the 200 back in his final collegiate season, recording a 200 back time of 1:42.52 to earn an NCAA B Standard in the event. Wright was part of the 200 medley and 800 free relays that earned Summit League Championships, while individually winning the 200 back (1:42.52) and finishing third in the 100 back (47.95).
