DENVER – The Denver Pioneers women's triathlon team begins the 2025 ranked No. 5 in the preseason Division-I poll by the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association.
Established in summer 2020, Denver enters its fifth full season looking to build upon its fifth-place finish at the 2024 Collegiate National Championships. The Pioneers finished last year's regular season rated at No. 4 in the country.
Defending national champion Arizona and in-state rival Arizona State are tied for the top overall spot, while Queens University of Charlotte comes in at No. 3 and Texas Christian University at No. 4.
Behind the Pioneers in the poll is San Francisco at No. 6, East Tennessee State at No. 7, South Dakota at No. 8, Duquesne at No. 9 and La Salle University at No. 10.

Denver opens the 2025 season next weekend on Saturday, Aug. 30 at the Southern Hills Triathlon super sprint at Angostura State Recreation Area in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
