SPARKS, Md. -- Junior attacker Olivia Ripple was named a Preseason Honorable Mention All-American, USA Lacrosse announced on Tuesday. 

Overall, 74 players from 29 institutions were recognized.

Ripple led the Pioneers last season with 76 points on 63 goals on 13 assists and a .434 shooting percentage. During her sophomore campaign, Ripple broke the program single-game scoring record with 10 goals in a 23-10 victory against Marquette, was named a Big East First-Team Selection and Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player. 

Denver opens the season at USC on February 12 at 7 p.m. MT in Los Angeles, Calif.
