DENVER – The University of Denver women's lacrosse program has finalized its 2026 schedule that includes several high-profile matchups and the return of the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Championship to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium April 30-May 2.
Denver will open the campaign with a trip out west to take on USC on February 12 and Arizona State on February 15. The season opener will be the 10
th between DU and USC, and the first since the Pioneers 10-7 win over the Trojans in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Denver and Arizona State will meet for the fourth time in six seasons, and the first time in Tempe.
The Pioneers home opener is scheduled for February 19 against Towson before the Pioneers close out the second weekend of their regular season at Vanderbilt on February 22. DU and Towson will meet for the third time this season, the first time in Denver and the first time since 2011.
Denver's first single-game weekend of the year sees Denver welcome High Point to the Mile High City or a Sunday matinee. The following weekend, the Pioneers head to the east coast for the first time in 2026 with visits to Stony Brook (March 6) and Fairfield (March 8).
The Crimson and Gold will begin a season-long three-game homestand on March 13 when Denver welcomes Stetson under the lights at Peter Barton. Denver will then host Charlotte on March 17 before opening BIG EAST play against UConn on March 22.
Prior to making the trip to Butler on March 28, Denver will briefly jump back out of conference play to take on Michigan in Ann Arbor on March 26. The Pioneers and Wolverines will meet for the fifth-consecutive season.
After BIG EAST Conference contests at home against Marquette (April 1) and at Villanova (April 11), Denver will wrap-up its non-conference slate against in-state rival Colorado on April 15, the final regular season game under the lights at Petey B. Denver is 8-4 in the previous 12 meetings between the two programs.
Denver's final two BIG EAST regular season games see the Pioneers welcome Xavier (April 18) back to DU before heading to the nation's capital to take on Georgetown (April 25).
The BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Championship will be held at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium in 2026. Denver will host the semifinals on April 30 and the Championship on May 2. Times and television information for the tournament will be announced at a later date.
