DENVER – University of Denver sophomore goalie
Grayson Manning has been named this week's Lacrosse Network National Player of the Week, the outlet announced on Monday.
Manning made 20 saves in Denver's 8-7 win at [RV/RV] Utah on Saturday afternoon. The Canadian netminder stopped nine shots in the fourth quarter, including Utah's final attempt at the game-tying goal with four seconds left.
The output tied for the second-most in Denver's Division I history, matching
Jack Thompson's 20 stops at Villanova on April 28, 2021. Manning is coming off a summer that saw him earn MVP honors at the U-20 World Championships in South Korea after making 15 saves in the Gold Medal match in a 6-5 win over the United States.
UP NEXT: Denver will return to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium next weekend to welcome nationally-ranked Cornell to the Mile High City. Opening faceoff is set for 12 p.m. MT, and the game will be broadcast on Midco Sports Plus.
TICKETS: Tickets for the 2026 season are on sale now, and can be
