DENVER – The University of Denver triathlon team announced today its spring schedule to close out the 2025-26 competition season.
The Pioneers' three spring races begin with a stop at the renowned Tritonman in San Diego, California, on Feb. 28 and March 1 before concluding at the Americas Triathlon Cup in Gulfport, Mississippi, on March 27.
Denver opens its spring series with two races at Mission Bay and Fiesta Island in San Diego, taking part in both draft-legal and non-draft legal sprints over the two mornings of Tritonman. Several NCAA and top club squads are expected to race in the UC San Diego triathlon-hosted event.
A few Pioneers will also race in the Americas Triathlon Cup off the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday, March 27, to close out the spring competition and kick off the start of their summer events. Last year's Americas Triathlon Cup race over the same weekend was held at Homestand Miami Speedway in South Florida.
Unlike regular-season meets, the spring races are primarily individual competitions as no team scores are recorded.
Denver closed the 2025 fall campaign on Nov. 8 with a seventh-place finish among Division-I squads at the Collegiate National Championships in Tempe, Arizona.
