DENVER -- The No. 20 University of Denver women's lacrosse team welcomes Stetson to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Friday night at 6 p.m. MT. The meeting marks the first between the two programs.
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
-Denver faced its first loss of the season, falling to (13) Stony Brook, 12-11, in overtime on March 6 in New York but bounced back with a 15-9 win over Fairfield on Sunday in Connecticut.
-The Pioneers return home for the first of a four-game homestand, hosting Stetson at Peter Barton on March 13.
-Denver opens Big East Conference play on March 22 against UConn at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
THE RIPPLE EFFECT
-Sophomore attacker
Olivia Ripple broke the single-game scoring record with 10 goals in the Pioneers' 23-10 victory over Marquette (4/2).
-Her 63 goals in 2025 are good for 5th most in a single season.
-The California native owns the record for most goals in a postseason game with 7 in the 20-9 victory over Georgetown in the Big East semifinal game.
"HOT PINK" DEFENSE
-Denver leads the Big East and ranks 3rd in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 6.57 goals through its first four games of the season .
-DU ranks 90th nationally with 6.86 caused turnovers per contest.
-Denver has forced 7+ caused turnovers in all but three games over the last four seasons.
MUTCH DOING MUCH
-Freshman midfielder
Karleigh Mutch ranks fifth on the squad with 8 goals and 6 assists through seven contests.
-Her eight draw wins are good for fourth on the team.
-The Massachussetts native earned her first career hat-trick against High Point (3/01) and made a career-high three assists vs. Fairfield (3/08).
CLOSING IN ON THE CENTURY MARK
-Senior attacker
Ryan Dineen is 14 goals from the 100 goal career milestone and junior attacker
Olivia Ripple is 1 goal from reaching the 100 goal career milestone.
-Ripple has appeared in 37 games thus far in her career and Dineen has appeared in 69 games.
-The junior attacker is on pace to be the third-fastest Pioneer to reach the 100 goal milestone.
-
Lauren Black was the most recent Pioneer to do so in 2025 in just 53 games.
