Denver Women’s Soccer Tied for Seventh Nationally in DI Team GPA

DU tied for No. 18-highest GPA among all divisions for 2025-26, finishes with 3.78 GPA
DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer team ended the 2025-26 academic year tied for the seventh highest cumulative team GPA among NCAA Division I programs, United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday.
Denver posted a team GPA of 3.78 for the 2025-26 school year, which was tied for the No. 18 highest GPA in the country – across all NCAA Divisions. DU's mark was only .03 from the highest GPA for DI program and only .06 from the overall highest GPA.
By tying for No. 7 among NCAA DI teams, Denver has now held a top-10 DI ranking for team GPA in six consecutive years. A year ago, DU had a share of the highest DI team GPA and the third highest overall with a 3.85.
DU finished with the second highest team GPA for a team from Colorado, behind only Colorado College – which was only .01 ahead of Denver in GPA. Denver also finished with the highest team GPA of any West Coast Conference team with the next closest being Seattle with a 3.76, which was tied for No. 35 nationally.
Denver was named a United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award winner for the 17th time in the last 19 years. The award requires a team GPA of at least 3.50 for a given academic year.
The University of Denver women's soccer team is in the midst of its preseason training for the 2026 season and is set to play its second of two exhibition matches on Sunday, August 9, when it travels to Wyoming. DU opened its exhibition slate with an 8-0 win over Colorado Albion SC at home on August 5.
Denver will open its 2026 regular season at Northern Colorado on Thursday, August 13, at 7 p.m. MT, kicking off a four-match, season-opening road stretch before hosting its home opener on Thursday, August 27, against Colorado College.
