DU Women’s Soccer Drops Match at No. 19/10 Colorado

Denver finishes non-conference road schedule with 0-6 loss at nationally-ranked CU
BOULDER, Colorado – The University of Denver women's soccer team (1-4-2, 0-0-0 WCC) ended its non-conference road slate with a 0-6 loss to No. 19/10-ranked Colorado at Prentup Field on Friday night.
CU posted three goals in each half including a converted penalty in the second half, though Denver's sophomore goalkeeper Lucy Garnsey turned away another 10 Colorado shots on goal, setting a new personal best for saves in a single match. Including a block from junior Kit Mooney that was credited as a team save, Denver finished with 11 total saves.

10' | CU's Michaela McGowan opened the scoring, sneaking a ball around an outstretched Garnsey. Denver challenged the play for offside but following video review, the goal stood after the referee did not see enough evidence to overturn the call.
