
Pioneers Return Home for Three-Match Week

DENVER – The University of Denver volleyball team returns to action this week with three matches, beginning with a Wednesday night matchup against Air Force at Hamilton Gymnasium before traveling to Greeley for the UNC Volleyball Invitational.
Denver enters the week with a 6-3 record after going 1-2 at last weekend's Tarleton State Invitational in Stephenville, Texas. The Pioneers opened the weekend with five-set losses to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Tarleton State before closing the tournament with a three-set sweep of Sam Houston.
Denver will open the week against Air Force on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. MT in Hamilton Gymnasium. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.Â
The Pioneers have won five straight against the Falcons, including a 3-0 victory in Colorado Springs last season. Denver has not lost to Air Force since 2019.Â
The Pioneers will then head to Greeley for two matches at Bank of Colorado Arena. Denver will face Northern Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. MT before taking on Utah on Friday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. MT. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.Â
The three-match stretch will conclude Denver's non-conference schedule before the Pioneers begin their inaugural season of West Coast Conference play the following week.
