Individual counseling/therapy
  • To address challenges all people can face – anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, eating problems, substance abuse, identity issues, academic problems, grief and loss – and challenges that are unique to student-athletes, such as burnout, performance anxiety, team/coach relationship concerns, athletic injury difficulties, and transition out of sport.
Individual mental skills training
  • Comprehensive mental performance plans that are tailored to each athlete.
  • Learn skills to enhance performance, including focus/concentration, composure, motivation, goal setting, self-talk/communication, mental rehearsal/visualization, performance routines, mental recovery skills
Group counseling/therapy
  • Groups that have been offered and plan to be offered throughout the year: Injury Recovery Excellence, Student-Athlete Mindset Enhancement (SAME), Emotional Wellness, Mentality of Eating, Future After Sport/Transition (FAST)
Team/group consultations
  • These consultations involve teaching mental skills to teams and groups within teams (such as team captains, offense, defense, etc.) and assisting in their application within specific team demands and cultures. Examples include team cohesion, communication, and conflict management.
Assessment
  • ADHD assessments: Updated testing for those with outdated, previous testing. New testing for those experiencing significant attention difficulties.
  • Learning disorder (LD) assessments: New and updated testing for specific academic concerns, such as reading, writing, and math difficulties.

*Most appointments are 45 minutes in length though can be shorter to accommodate schedule demands.
*All types of individual sessions as well as group counseling sessions are confidential in nature. Barring any urgent safety concerns, no information discussed will be relayed to anyone else without your consent
