Why DU:
“I chose the University of Denver for the academic opportunities within my major of interest as well as its proximity to the outdoors. The school size and student culture were exactly what I was looking for.”

Why Triathlon:
“Coming from a heavy swimming background, I knew I wanted to continue doing so at the collegiate level. Having been exposed to triathlon racing at a young age, I love the sport's depth in discipline and knew I could develop both my cycling and running skills and abilities. I feel very lucky to be given the opportunity to train alongside such talented and hardworking people.”

Coach Barbara Perkins’ Take:
“Cameron is coming to the team with a very diverse background. She has grown up with club swimming, water polo, has done some triathlons and also riding with her dad, who is a triathlete. She is part of the Pioneer Leadership Program and is going to play a role in connecting us with different groups across campus.”
