Brittany Evans is the Assistant Director for Communications & Digital Media for the gymnastics, women's soccer, men's tennis and women's tennis programs. She assists with social media, website management, content generation, graphic design, photography, public and media relations, record keeping and statistics, and game/meet-day operations, among other tasks.
Evans was first hired at DU full-time in May 2012 as the Web Services Manager for the now-former Division of Athletics & Recreation and added the title of Sport Publicity Manager for the gymnastics program in August 2014. She served both roles until July 2022 when she moved into her current role in the Athletic Communications department.
Even after joining the Denver staff in 2012, Evans also continued her role as Production Assistant/Digital Marketing Manager for Disson Skating, a position she held from 2011-17. Her role with Disson Skating included website management, social media and digital marketing, photography, video editing and production-related tasks for figure skating and entertainment shows that aired nationally on ABC or NBC.
Previously, she was a Public Relations Assistant for Lynn Plage Communications in 2011-12, assisting with media relations and social media campaigns for clients that included elite and Olympic figure skaters, gymnasts and other athletes. She was also the Production Assistant for the 2011 Smucker's Stars on Ice national figure skating tour, traveling across the country to handle public relations, digital marketing and photography at all 25 shows.
Evans completed her master's degree in organizational and professional communication with an emphasis in new media and internet marketing at the University of Denver in 2015, graduating with a 4.00 GPA. She graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and technical communication, earning University Honors and cum laude distinctions.
