DENVER (Dec. 4) - The University of Denver men's lacrosse team received letters of intent from 11 scholar-athletes to join the Pioneers for the 2001-02 season. According to head coach Jamie Munro, this class is as fast as any in the country. We have depth and balance and great athletic talent. These players have the size and shooting ability to be playmakers on the field. The early signees include:
Christian Anderson, Defense, Daniel Hand High School, Madison, Conn.

Coach Munro on Anderson: Christian is a very athletic lacrosse player with strength and speed.

Four-year varsity starter in lacrosseall-suburban league player during sophomore yearreceived Degler-Whiting award as an MVPreceived honors for all-area, county, and league during junior year. Coach Munro on Corbin: John is a great team defender, and has the ability to change the complexion of a game with his physical play.
Scott Davidson, Midfield, Loomis-Chaffer Prep School, Guilford, Conn.
Three-year varsity starter in soccerled team to conference championship title during junior and senior year and received honors for all-area, all-conference and all-stateteam was a state finalist during sophomore and senior seasons and was voted as an all-New England and all-American during senior campaign. Four-year varsity starter in ice hockeyteam MVP junior yearteam captain during senior season. Four-year varsity starter in lacrosseteam rookie of the year as a freshmanreceived honors for all-conference and all-state as a junior and seniorled team to a conference championship senior year. Chose Denver lacrosse over Delaware and D-I soccer.

Blake Evans, Midfield, New Canaan High School, New Canaan, Conn.
Four-year varsity lacrosse startermember of the Connecticut super junior team and select team. Three-year letter-winner for football. Chose Denver over Johns Hopkins and Delaware.
Coach Munro on Evans: Blake is very strong, fast, athletic and an excellent shooter.
Greer Hanlon, Midfield, Libertyville High School, Libertyville, Ill.
