Dullens and Maksovic Win Consolation Quarterfinal Match

Nov. 5, 2004

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Yanick Dullens (Susteren, Netherlands) and Suzana Maksovic (Helsingborg, Sweden) defeated William & Mary's Candice Fuchs and Megan Moulton-Levy, 8-5, in women's doubles consolation quarterfinals action this morning at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"We played good, solid and aggressive tennis today," Dullens said. "Suzana and I did nothing fancy today and we're really happy with the way we are playing."

Dullens and Maksovic, who lost their opening match in the main draw to Baylor's Zuzana Cerna and Daniella Covello, will play top-ranked Whitney Benik and Lolita Frangulyan of Florida in the women's doubles consolation semifinal action tomorrow morning.

"I am very happy for Yanick and Suzana," head coach Dana Young said. "It's great to see the success they are having together after all of their hard work."

The loser of the consolation semifinal match will be eliminated from the tournament.
