The University of Denver women's tennis team improved to 9-1 overall and 5-0 in the Sun Belt Conference with a 6-1 win over North Texas on March 5 at Denton Country Club. Denver won the doubles points and captured five of six matches to record its sixth consecutive win.
Yanick Dullens (Sustern, Netherlands) and Suzana Maksovic (Helsingborg, Sweden) won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles and Jenny Trettin (Berlin, Germany) and Barb Kourim (Dallas, Texas) won 8-5 at No. 2 to give Denver the doubles point.
Dullens, Maksovic, Trettin, Kourim and Rachel Sackmaster (Alpharetta, Ga.)won their respective singles matches. All five singles matches were decided in two sets.
No. 66 Denver returns to action on Saturday against 53rd-ranked SMU.
