DENVER - The University of Denver men and women's tennis teams were among the best on the Division I scene this season, falling within the top-75 of the final Fila Collegiate Tennis Rankings released May 26. The Pioneer men's team (13-9) received a ranking of No. 66, marking the first time in program history the squad has ended the season with a national mark, while the DU women (11-11) finished at No. 58.
In addition to the team rankings, both squads also scored a singles player in the final rankings. Sophomore Adam Holmstrom (Eskilstuna, Sweden) finished at No. 93 in the nation, earning his second career all-conference nod and notching a record of 12-4, all at the No. 1 singles position. For the ladies, senior Suzana Maksovic (Helsingborg, Sweden) completed her career at DU with a No. 91 national ranking following a 12-10 effort at No. 1 singles. Maksovic also grabbed her second career all-conference singles honor this season.
