EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 53 Old Dominion posted a 5-2 win over No. Denver this afternoon at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Evanston, Ill.

Denver falls to 1-3 with its third consecutive loss, while Old Dominion improves to 4-2.

Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) and Emma Isberg (Tyreso, Sweden) posted wins at No. 3 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

Bergner defeated Irina Dementyeva 6-4, 7-5 to improve to 3-1 at No. 3 singles and Isberg defeated Juliana Pires at No. 5 singles.

Denver lost the doubles point and was forced to default at No. 6 singles.

The Pioneers return to action at Pacific on Feb. 6 and Saint Mary's on Feb. 7.
