Denver Moves up to No. 16 in National Polls

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The University of Denver women’s soccer team jumped up to No. 16 in the NSCAA/Continental Tires National Rankings after being ranked No. 20 last week. The program continues its streak of being rank in the Top 25 consecutively for four weeks.

The Pioneers came away with a pair of wins and two shutouts over the weekend to increase their undefeated streak to 6-0. Denver beat Tennessee-Martin 1-0 on Friday evening and took down Alabama 2-0 on Sunday. Senior Kristen Hamilton (Littleton, Colo.) netted a goal to increase her career point count to 110, just six points shy of the record, while senior Nicholette DiGiacomo (Golden, Colo.) recorded a goal and an assist in the two games.
