LAS VEGAS - SundayHenry Craig and Alex Gasson capped the 2014 USTA/ITA Division I Mountain Regional tournament for the Pioneers Men's Tennis team with the first sweep of the singles and doubles categories in Pioneers history.

Craig completed his quest to defend his title in the regional after defeating Sam Iftikhar (UNM), 6-3, 6-2.

In doubles action Craig and Gasson clinched the doubles title by defeating the duo of James Hignett and Bart Van Leijsen, 6-3, 6-4.

"What an outstanding performance by Henry and Alex this week," said Head Coach Danny Westerman. "Henry played a great tactical singles match and in the doubles both guys rose to the occasion and played very solid aggressive doubles. It is great to see both these two and our entire team improving on a daily basis and these results are rewards for the hard work and dedication."

With the victories Craig and Gasson will qualify for the USTA / ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City. It is the site of the US Open grand slam event.
