Denver Women's Soccer Adds Nine for 2014

DENVER – The University of Denver women’s soccer team will be adding nine newcomers to the 2014-15 roster head coach Jeff Hooker announced today.

"Our 2014 class is very deep with talent," Hooker said. "We have several players looking to play right away at a variety of positions. They will have some big shoes to fill with us losing a couple All-Americans and several impact players to graduation."

Jessica Dancy will be joining Pioneers from Park City, Utah as a four-year Utah First Team All-State honoree. Dancy was named the offensive MVP of her high school all four years and was a two-time Utah 3A State Championship finalist and semi-finalist. As a part of Black Diamond Soccer Club, the forward earned State Champions honors in 2011 and a finalist in 2012.

Coming in as a 5’10” goalkeeper, Kendall Mulvaney (Newport Beach, Calif.), earned four letters in high school and was named captain of her team her senior season. Mulvaney was named OC’s varsity athlete of the week and the Daily Pilot’s athlete of the week her senior year. Dutton, a four-year varsity team member of Cardinal Newman High School, was named First Team All-League three years and the league’s MVP in 2013. As a part of Santa Rosa United, Dutton served as a captain and was a 2012 Cal North State Champion.

A native of Centennial, Colo., Lauren Conley will add depth to the Pioneers offensive as she led Arapahoe High School in goals as a sophomore and junior. Conley was named First Team All-Conference, All-State Honorable Mention and Offensive Player of the year her sophomore year and led Arapahoe to the 5A Conference Title. As a freshman, Conley was the number one freshman goal scorer in Colorado 5A and was awarded the Most Inspirational Player of her high school team. In 2011, she was a part of the Colorado State Championship team on Real Colorado. Conley was named to the ECNL id2 regional PDP team two times and was the leading goal scorer for ECNL U16 and U17 teams on Colorado Rush.

Angelica Pacheco (Taos, N.M.) joins Denver as First Team All-State 3A selection.
